Possible updates are also expected in the cabin, including a revised steering wheel and a center console design. The automaker has kept most details under wraps but here’s what we know about the improved 2027 Skoda Kodiaq so far.

Design: A Sharper SUV Look

Most styling changes on the new Kodiaq are concentrated at the front and rear. The front fascia now hosts a new bumper design with wider air intake. The grille pattern has also been redesigned, and so are the side vents and daytime running lights that combine to give the Kodiaq a sharper SUV appearance.
At the rear, the SUV features slimmer taillights alongside new lighting graphics and rear bumper that add a more appealing look. There is also a power tow hitch. Other than these, the rear fascia remains unchanged. The SUV sits on up to 20-inch wheels and new alloy wheel designs. Also, we suspect additional paint options will join the palette.
Performance: Same Powertrain Options, Up to 300 hp Promised

The 2027 Skoda Kodiaq retains the Volkswagen MQB Evo Platform which supports a range of powertrain options, including a 1.5L mild-hybrid engine, a 2.0L engine equipped to churn out 201 hp. The automaker has disclosed that the 2027 Kodiaq will feature an optional plug-in hybrid that boasts an output of 272 hp and 295 lb ft of torque. Plus, there are reports that the performance version of the Kodiaq, the vRS model, could exceed 300 hp.
The SUV uses a dual-clutch auto transmission with six- and seven-speed gears across trims. Also depending on the powertrain and trim level, the Kodiaq offers both FWD and AWD. 0 to 60 mph time is an estimate of 8.3 seconds on the regular models, while the performance model is predicted to cover the same ground in 6.4 seconds.
Battery and Range:

The plug-in hybrid model of the Kodiaq uses a 25.7kWh lithium-ion battery, with 19.7kWh of usable capacity. It supports both AC and DC charging at a maximum of 11kw and 50kW respectively, with the latter charging from 10% to 80% in 25 minutes. Models on the PHEV setup have been confirmed to provide up to 62 miles of electric range. Although we expect the mild-hybrid engine to offer considerably less electric-only range, it promises to be perfect for in-city runs.
Interior: Spacious Cabin

The Kodiaq can sit five or seven occupants, with a sliding second-row bench. Seat coverings range from leather to high-end upholstery. There are also optional ergo seats with massaging functions. The steering is heated, and an armrest sits in the center console with two cupholders. Going by the current Kodiaq cabin design, it is likely that the new model will maintain the hardware dimensions of the digital dashboard. The central display should measure up to 13 inches, alongside a 10-inch digital cluster.

Skoda has announced that the 2027 Skoda Kodiaq is set to be its largest and most spacious family SUV yet, and no doubt a comfortable mover of people and stuff. It offers generous legroom and headroom, but the third row in the 7-seater version is best reserved for kids under age 10. Total cargo space can expand from 71.8 cu ft to 74.3 cu ft, depending on the trim.
Connectivity: Fancy Tech Plus Voice Control

The infotainment system on the Kodiaq integrates with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for media and other basic functions. Skoda’s exclusive Laura Voice Assistant is also available for hands-free control. It can send messages, control media and cabin lighting, and provide navigation support and additional information. Occupants will appreciate the wireless charging and five 45-watt USB-C charging ports distributed across the cabin.
Driver Assist and Safety Tech

The new Kodiaq will carry over most existing safety equipment on the current model, including the collision prevention feature. It has front assist monitors designed to detect oncoming traffic and auto-apply the brakes when necessary. It also has a standard blind spot warning and turn assist, which are especially useful at blind turns and corners. Although availability varies by trims, other safety tools in the kit include the park assist, lane keep, and driver attention monitors. Plus, there are up to nine air bags in the higher-end trims.
2027 Skoda Kodiaq Trims and Pricing

If the trim levels on the current Skoda Kodiaq are anything to go by, the 2027 model should be available in six different versions, although availability may vary across countries. The entry SE trim is optimized for everyday practicality, while Edition X, SE L, and SportLine bring some sportiness and add more upscale materials to the interior.
The automaker has announced that a new top-of-the line Lauren & & Klement (L & K) trim level with a striking design and improved comfort will join the lineup. It will bring along seats with massage function, silver roof rails and front and rear bumpers with unique colors. To add to that, a 2.0L turbocharged vRS model will also be available for shoppers who want up to 261 hp of sheer Kodiaq power. Pricing information is unavailable yet.
Way to Go for New Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda has disclosed that the new Kodiaq will hit the showrooms in 2027, so we expect a possible reveal before the end of 2026. The crossover will compete with midsize and large family SUVs, including the Volkswagen Tayron, which has a more upscale cabin. The Kia Sorento offers just as much engine options and a little more of passenger space in the third row.
Regardless, the Kodiaq remains competitive across board, and loyalists continue to rise across Europe. In the past twelve months, the model recorded 32,105 registrations in Germany and over 10,854 in Czech Republic. It’s also the brand’s highest selling model in the UK with 13,054 registrations in 2025. The new 2027 Kodiaq could be the next big deal that further strengthens the automaker’s grip on the European market.
