Chinese automaker Lynk & Co is out to stake claims in the premium SUV space with the 2026 Lynk & Co 900, its flagship full-size luxury SUV. The 900 enters a global market dominated by BMW X7 and Aito M9, among others, looking to compete with an 872 hp hybrid engine and a friendly price tag.
According to the carmaker, the highly anticipated model recorded 40,000 preorders following its unveiling at the Shanghai Auto Show in 2025. Here’s what the latest Lynk & Co 900 brings to the luxury SUV segment.
Design: Large, Sleek, and Executive

The 900 is Lynk & Co’s first full-size SUV, and it stays true to the tag with an intimidating executive profile. A first of its kind, the family SUV measures 71.3 inches in height and 206.3 inches in length, with a wheelbase of 124.4 inches. Despite the massive size, the Lynk & Co 900 maintains its attractiveness with a streamlined profile that separates it from traditional SUV style. Plus, buyers can choose from a palette of five executive-style body colors.
It has a smart grille with an open-and-close mechanism for improved airflow, and digital panels that display custom messages. The front features h-shaped daytime running lights and a full-width bar, while the other end mirrors the design and adds a split-opening tailgate sturdy enough to seat two adults. Plus, the flush handles and 21-inch rims ensure Lynk & Co 900 is no less appealing from the side.
Performance: Blink and You’ll Miss It

Although the 900 flagship SUV weighs 5,800 lbs, it sprints from 0 – 60mph in a blistering 4.1 seconds and records a top speed of 149 mph, thanks to its plug-in hybrid powertrain. Three engine configurations are available: a 1.5T engine pairs with dual electric motors to provide an output of 721 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque. The 2.0T engine delivers 724 hp and 766 lb-ft torque while the range-topping 2.0T engine with triple motors pumps 872 hp and 920 lb-ft of torque, enough to rival leaders in the high-performance SUV territory.

Out on the road, the Lynk & Co 900 impresses with the kind of agility you’d expect of a luxury car. No surprises here, considering the rear-wheel steering system and dual air suspension. Another notable feature is the 4-piston brake calipers available on select trims. Plus, the three-speed dedicated hybrid transmission ensures that occupants don’t notice the shift between combustible engine and the electric drive.

Interior: Real Estate Level of Comfort

Inside the 2026 Lynk & Co is a massive cabin with a modern feel. The SUV seats 6 occupants in a 2-2-2 setup, so there’s plenty of adjustable stretch room. For example, the second and third-row seats can slide around to create even more legroom for six-footers, comparable to what you find in executive limousines. And there’s up to 50.1 inches of headroom, exceptionally high for an SUV.
The 900 supports a luxurious lifestyle with an onboard heater that doubles as a refrigerator. Front seats are heated and ventilated, complemented by two folding tables for extra convenience. Plus, the seats are covered in plush Nappa leather or synthetic suede with quilted patterns.
Infotainment and Connectivity

The highlight of the Lynk & Co 900 infotainment system is a 30-inch 6k display that stretches across the dashboard. Second and third-row passengers also get a dedicated 6K screen that folds down from the roof to display media. The system is equipped with 5G connectivity and supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

A wireless charging panel sits right in the center console for high-speed smartphone charging. Occupants also get treated to customizable ambient lighting and premium sound from a 31-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
A Comprehensive Safety Suite

The Lynk & Co 900 holds its own in the segment when it comes to tech and safety. It uses the NVIDIA Drive Thor SoC, which provides about 1,000 TOPS of computing power for advanced autonomous driving. Automatic Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist are some added safety features. Besides, it also offers ultrasonic sensors for maneuvering and parking.

Battery and Range

Thanks to an advanced 800-volt platform and 4C technology, the 900’s 52.4Kwh battery can charge from 20% to 80% in an impressive 17 minutes. In pure electric mode, the 900 offers 174 miles, which can climb to 897 miles in the PHEV mode, according to CLTC estimates.
Trims and Prices: A Bargain Purchase

Lynk & Co offers the 900 SUV in four affordable trim levels separated mostly by performance. The entry 1.5T Halo trim packs enough performance features for about $42,500 MSRP. At the second trim level, shoppers can choose between the 1.5T Ultra and 2.0T Ultra for improved engine output. Meanwhile, the top Explore edition costs $62,000 excluding destination, although we suspect the price might rise a bit for US shoppers.
Regardless, the Lynk & Co is good value for money. In its home market, it undersells Li Auto L9 and Aito M9 by a mile, yet it offers enough luxury to match. And unsurprisingly, European rivals like the Durango SRT Hellcat and BMW XM with similar performance cost almost twice as much.
Verdict: A Bold New SUV Ready to Compete

The 2026 Lynk & Co 900 already outperforms many luxury SUV rivals in the local Chinese market, and could dominate the sector in no time. Also, it’s rare to find high-performance luxury SUVs at this price point, so when compared with global rivals, the Lynk & Co 900 feels like a steal for international shoppers. And while the SUV hasn’t been NCAP-tested yet, ratings by the China Automotive Engineering Research Institute (CAERI) prove that it’s capable and well-engineered.
